Why do victims stay?
Often, victims are met with skepticism because they choose to stay with their aggressor after abuse has taken place.
On average, it takes a victim 7 to 10 attempts to leave an abusive relationship for good.
Victims could choose to stay or return to their abusive relationship for various reasons. These are often the obstacles CAFV and other agencies attempt to remedy through service and therapy.
